Project Management
During my time at Parachute, I was the only UX designer on the team, which provided a unique learning experience. I collaborated with the development team, users, and the CTO, which gave me exposure to different perspectives in the product development process.
This experience taught me the importance of having basic technical knowledge. As designers, we can sometimes overlook the development team, but I learned a lot from them. Now, when I design, I ensure that I ask about technical limitations and use that information to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions that meet both design and technical requirements.
In addition to my design responsibilities, I also conducted user testing of the software and documented potential issues and bugs on the staging site. I worked closely with the development team to resolve these issues and ensure that the product was thoroughly tested before being shipped out to users. This helped me develop a better understanding of the importance of collaboration and communication between design and development teams to ensure a successful product launch.
